The French Dispatch-

I watched "The French Dispatch" this weekend and I wanted to share my thoughts on the film.

The Plot-

The French Dispatch is a comedic anthology film directed by Wes Anderson. The film takes place in a fictional French town (Ennui-sur-Blasé). The film begins with the death of Arthur Howitzer Jr., the owner and head editor of the magazine The French Dispatch. In his will Howitzer expressed that upon his death the last issue of The French Dispatch would be released. The final issue would include four articles and an obituary. The film goes over accounts of all four articles and the obituary.

My thoughts-

I really enjoyed this film. The cast for the film was full of well known and talented actors. The cinematography was very unique since the film was shot with 200-ASA
Kodak 35mm film. The film also switches between black and white and colorful segments. The film even utilizes animation for a chase scene. The different stories were all enjoyable in their own ways. In conclusion, the film was visually interesting and just a fun film to watch.
