Blog Investigation and Work Log 11/21

Work log- I looked for music and sound effects that I can incorporate in my film. I did research on the other three types of documentaries for my investigation. Preformative- Performative documentaries focus on the filmmaker's personal experiences with a subject. The incorporation of the filmmakers' personal experience allows the audience to see a more emotional connection with the subject. Example- Icarus is a documentary dealing with the subject of doping in the sports world. Bryan Fogel documents his journey using performance-enhancing drugs while also uncovering the mystery behind the doping scandal during the 2008 Olympics. Fogel uses his experiences to help the audience better understand the situation. Reflexive- Reflexive documentaries incorporate the filmmaker in the film. This style of documentary focuses on the relationship between the filmmaker and the audience. The goal is to have the audience connect to the film. Example- "Yes Theor...
